Sara grew up building forts in the woods around her Wisconsin home. When she was not reading in a fort, she was probably at the library, checking out more books. She still loves to read, dream, and write outdoors or in secret hideaways.
Sara studied Natural Science and Speech/Language Pathology. She is a gardener, forager, hiker, skier, and loves exploring the outdoors in her native Midwest. Her picture book THREE SCOOPS AND A FIG, illustrated by Susan Kathleen Hartung and published by Peachtree Publishing, was selected for Bank Street College’s Best Books List and the Kansas State Reading List.
Sara has three new picture books coming out in the next few years with Little, Brown and Company; Lee & Low Books; and Capstone Publishing. More to come!
